The Types of POAs
Ther are four basic types of POAs that cover different situations:
A general POA authorizes the agent to transact all business of the principal.
A limited POA is limited regarding what it may be used for and/or how long it is in effect.
A secure POA contains secuirty features and is used only by a registered Pennsylvania motor vehicle dealer or by a PennDOT approved insurance company in a motor vehicle transaction.
A springing POA is used most often for medical reasons.
